The traditional South Indian Recipes are sambhar, idli, upma, dosa, pongal, rasam, idyiappam, pachadi, payasam, biryani, vada are some of the customary dishes of south India. They come in all flavors.
The breakfast options of South India include a variety of dishes like idli, rava idli, poori, upma, dosa, masala dosa, rava dosa, adai, pongal, vada, kichdi, puttu, appam, raagi koozh, paniyaaram, kozhukattai, and various recipes from millets. The mix of rice, flour or lentils along with the steamed method of cooking adds nutritional value to most of the dishes.
