 Aam ka Panna Recipe

Aam ka panna recipe is a special summer drink made from raw mangoes. This drink is known for its hydrating properties and treats intestinal disorders. It is very easy to make, tastes divine and helpful to fight dehydration and digestion issues. It has a unique flavor of sweetness combined with a tinge of sour taste.

Mango is one of the famous seasonal fruit in India. The variety of mangoes producing in the summer season. They are variety of Mango kheer, mango pudding, mango pickle are  home recipes from the Indian kitchens. Raw mango is used to make aam panna along with other ingredients like cardamom, jeera, salt, sugar or jaggery, mint leaves and pepper.

Preparation Methods

The raw mangoes are first steam cooking. They cool down they are peeling and the pulp was separating. The pulp has to be cooking obtain a soft consistency. The pulps are grain in a fine paste. The cardamom powder, jeera powder and a pinch of powdered pepper are adding along with salt to the paste and mixing well. Sugar or grated jaggery was adding to the above mixture. Jaggery was preferring to white sugar its nutritional benefits.

One or two spoon of the mixing paste was adding with the chilled water. Finely chopping mint leaves are adding to the beverage. Mint leaves and lemon slices using for garnishing. Aam ka panna is rich vitamins and iron  to the raw mango and spices. It gives an instant energy during summer, helps fight dehydration and the mint combination makes the drink a very refreshing one. Sharbat, lassi, buttermilk and nimbu paani are few other drinks specially make during the summer in the Indian cuisine.

Ingredients

  • Raw Mango - 2 Nos.
  • Powdered Or Grated Jaggery - 1/2 Cup
  • Cardamon Powder - 1/4 Tbsp
  • Pepper Powder - 1/4 Tbsp
  • Lime Slices - 2 Tbsp
  • Ice Cubes - 4 Tbsp

Method

Step 1

Take one or two fresh raw mango,add it to a pressure cooker and brings to boil for three whistles till it comes to soft,

When the mango comes to soft remove the outer skin and scrape out the pulp using a spoon,

Bring all the oiled mango pulp,grate or crush some jaggery and bring some cardamon powder and pepper powder,

Take a mixer jar or blender or juicer jar add the extracted boiled mango pulp with them,

Then add some crushed or powdered jaggery with them,you may add some sugar instead of it,

Then add the flavorful spice powders such as pepper powder and cardamon powder with them,

Add some ice cubes and enough water for them,if you use cold water you can skip the ice cues,

Blend well and pour it to the serving glass and add some more ice cubes if need and serve chill.
