Bread Pakora Recipe

Bread pakora is a famous snack recipe savored for its potato stuffing. It is a simple recipe which you can easily make at home. It is also a famous street food across the country. The preparation process is simple and the dish is filling, making it a good choice for an evening snack along with tea.

Ingredients of Bread Pakora Recipe

The ingredients that go in the stuffing are boiling potatoes, onion, green chilly, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric powder, coriander powder and spluttering mustard seeds. The potatoes are boiling and peeling and mashing when they cool down. Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter. Now add chopped onions and green chilies. Add the mashed potatoes along with turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and ginger garlic paste and cook well for few minutes. The pakora stuffing is ready.

Now take bread slices and remove the rough edges. Place some of the potato stuffing and spread it on the bread slice and cover it with another slice. Now the bread can cut diagonally into two triangles. Now, the pakora batter is preparing with rice flour, gram flour and required amount of water along with chilli powder and salt. The consistency of the batter should be thick. The bread triangle with the potato stuffing is dipping in this batter. Excess of batter removing and the pakora is slid to hot oil. The pakora is evenly fring on both sides till the golden brown color appears. The pakoras are then draining of excess oil on kitchen tissues. Hot pakoras are now ready to treat your tastebuds.

The bread pakora can be serving with tomato ketchup, mint chutney or coconut chutney. It is a very filling option for an evening snack. Other snacks that can be prepared at households are vegetable cutlet, masala vada, vegetable momos.

Ingredients

  • Bread - 8 Nos.
  • Potato - 2 Nos.
  • Onion - 1 No.
  • Green Chilly - 3 Nos.
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tbsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1/4 Tbsp
  • Ginger - 1 Tbsp
  • Garlic - 1 Tbsp
  • Garam Masala - 1/4 Tbsp
  • Salt - 1/4 Tbsp
  • Oil - 1 Cup

Method

At the first step take a pressure cooker and put potatoes along with some water and salt to it then let it cook.

Then chop or cut the Ingredients like onion,ginger,garlic and green chilly in to small pieces place these in a plate.

Then put the cooked potato to it after removing its skin then put some salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala to it.

Then mash the potatoes when it is cooled using clean hands and then mix all the other ingredients together with the potato.

Then take a little portion from the mixed potato and make it to small ball shaped do same with remaining potato mix and keep it aside.

Then take the bread as much you need and cut its dark edges and slightly wet all these bread pieces.

Then place potato ball to wet bread piece and cover it carefully,it should not break you can make shapes as you like.

Do same with the remaining balls and bread then heat a pan pour oil to it and when it is hot put the bread potato to it.

When one side becomes nicely brawn and crispy change it to other side and let that side also brawn or fried.

Then fry all the other bread potato pakoras and then wipe off excess oil then serve hot along with tomato sauce.
