It is prepared with grated carrots, milk powder, sugar, ghee and flavored with cardamom powder, almonds and saffron (kesar), which gives this burfi an awesome flavor.
Carrot and Milk Burfi is a very simple yet classic dessert which we prepare with ingredients that are commonly available at home. - Grated Carrot - 1 Cup
- Ghee - 2 Tbsp
- Sugar - 2 Tbsp or as required
- Milk Powder - 1/4 Cup
- Chopped Almonds -1/2 Tbsp
- Caradamom Powder - 1/2 Tbsp
Rinse the carrot with clean fresh water. Peel skin and grated it.
Take tray or plate grease it with ghee and keep aside.
Heat a kadai with adding ghee and grated carrot. Saute it well till the raw smell of carrot goes away.
Carrot almost cooked well, add milk powder. Mix very well.
Now add sugar and cardamom powder in it. Continue to stir the sugar with carrot mixture in a medium flame.
Sugar melts and combines well with carrot. Mixture becomes thickens and reduces. Switch off the flame.
Pour the carrot mixture immediately to ghee greased plate.
Sprinkle some chopped almonds above the carrot mixture.
Cover the carrot burfi with plate. Keep it cool for 15 minutes.
Once the burfi is cools down, Slice it into desire shapes. Serve taste carrot burfi, Refrigerat the remainig.
