 Masala Tea Powder is one of the variety of beverages in India. It is taken from the meal or during the mornings and evenings. Tea is considering a refreshing drink especially during the monsoons. Masala tea which is preparing using spices is a favorite of many. What better than a hot and flavorful tea when it is raining.

Masala tea is a simple recipe to make. The masala tea powder or the chai masala can be easily prepared at home, can be stored for a couple of months and used to spice up your daily drink of tea. The spices don’t just give the flavor and aroma, they also add to the health benefits, making masala tea a favorite choice.

Ingredients of  Masala Tea Powder

The spices to be using in preparing the masala tea powder are lemon grass, pepper, clove, nutmeg, cumin, cinnamon, fennel seeds and dry ginger. The ingredients are fine powder one by one and mixing well. You can start with the harder ingredients like dry ginger at first and then proceed with finer ones. You can also choose to mildly dry roast the ingredients for a minute or two and then grinding it. The chai powder is storing in an air-tight container for future use.

The ingredients to be using are also according to your choice. If you want the flavor of one particular spice to be more obvious, you can increase the quantity of that spice. You can also add dried rose petals or basil leaves for added flavor. A simple version of the masala tea made by grinding dry ginger and cardamom instantly and adding it to the tea. This method doesn’t need storage and can be using when preparing tea occasionally. However for regular usage it is better to have the chai powder prepared and stored. The masala tea powder is adding along with the tea powder and allowed to boil, resulting in a flavorsome tea. Homemade masala powders always have their special taste and nutritional values. Some of the other masala powders prepared in the Indian households are garam masala, curry leaves powder, turmeric powder etc.

Home Made Masala Tea powder is very easy to make and it is good for health also we can preserve this for more than 15 days .

  • Pepper - 2 Tbsp
  • Lemon Grass - Cup
  • Cumin Seeds - 2 Tbsp
  • Pattai - Cup
  • Clove - 2 Tbsp
  • Fennel Seeds - 2 Tbsp
  • Dry Ginger - Cup

Method

Step 1

* Firstly take the lemon grass , and chopped this in to small sizes by sizer .

* Now we are taking 2 spun of pepper it gives different flavor as well as good for health also .

* Now add 2 table spun of fennel seeds to this tea masala . . .

* For this add 1 to 2 Nut meg for good flavor to the tea masala .

* Now add 2 table spun of clove to the jar for making the tea masala .

* To this tea masala add 2 to 3 dry ginger , it is also good for health .
