Shahi ghiya Kofta Curry Recipe
Bottle gourd Kofta Curry (known as lauki kofta curry in Hindi) is nutritive rich vegetable. It can also be used to make Koftas (deep fried spicy spheres / motias) soaked in gravy. It is made of grated bottle gourd, gram flour, rice flour, ginger garlic paste cooked with tomato and cashews. We can also serve Motias as snacks (kind of Pakodas) with tomato ketchup to children. Kids are so addictive to this recipe.
This main course dish is simple to cook North Indian cuisine recipe. You need not be an expert to prepare it, you just need to be with intermediate cooking skills. Usually we can prepare thise Kofta in just 60 mins and it serves 3-4 persons. It’s very easy recipe as only primary vegetables are required such as grated bottle gourd and coconut. - Giya/bottle gourd - 1 Kg
- fried onion - 2 Tbsp
- Ginger - 1Tbsp
- Garlic - 1 Tbsp
- Tomato - 1 Cup
- Capsicum - 1/2 Cup
- Green chili - 1 Tbsp
- Coriander leaves - 2 Tbsp
- Salt - 2 Tbsp
- Red chillypowder -1 Tbsp
- Turmeric powder -1/4 Tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1 Tbsp
- Kitchen kingmasala - 2 Tbsp
- Cashew - 2 Tbsp
- Almond - 2 Tbsp
- Poppyseed - 2 Tbsp
- Milk - 11/2 Cup
- Water - 1 Cup
First step is cooking for shahi kadai lauki's kofta, first take the lauki and wash it,then mashed the lauki's well.
keep it out the water of crushed giya/lauki, then add chickpeas flour, salt, red chilly powder & cumin seed add also & mix it well.& then prepared balls of giya's mixture.
Adding fried balls in hot oil very nicely .. its a very yummy & resturant style curry,, everyone like this curry ,
Almost i had done my fried koftas , its a very healthy & delicious &spicy curry, we used this pepared kofta in giya's curry.
Now add fried chopped onion & capcicum in hot oil , half fried onion will use for grind &half onion will use in curry as is it.
In fried onion add 2 spoon yogurt & mix it well &keep a side for 5 to 10 mins . we will use this mix yogurt onion for grind .
Grind all veggiess [ prepared mix yogurt onion, mix also tomato, ginger, garlic, green chilly, coriander leaf, poppy seed, cashew, almond also add] & grinded it well. its a very saahi curry.
In separate frying kadai add 2 spoon oil, after oil hot den add grinded veggies mixture fry them for 10 mins ,
After cooked that mixture 10 mins ,then add fried onion & fried capcicum , and add 1 cup of milk then stir it well, add also 1 spoon salt, red chilly powder, coriander powder, termaric powder, &add also kitchen king masala & mix it well , cook it for 10 mins,
After mixed all veggies & all masala & milk den add 1 cup of water den add prepared kofta , & add also 1 spoon sugar stir it well cook it for 5 mins,, thanks a lot, hopefully you will like this spicy kadai giya's kofta curry.
