Ingredients

  • Rice- 1 Cup
  • Toamtoes- 5 Nos.
  • Onion- 3 Tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste- 1 Tbsp
  • Green Chilies -3 Tbsp
  • Mint Leaves- 1/2 Cup
  • Carrot -2 Nos.
  • French Beans- 1/4 Cup
  • Potato- 1/4 Cup
  • Green Peas -1/4 Cup
  • Red Chilly Powder- 3/4 Tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder- 1/4 Tbsp
  • Salt - 3/4 Tbsp
  • Oil Or Ghee- 2 Tbsp
  • Cloves -2 No
  • Star Anise- 1 Nos.
  • Bay Leaf- 1 Tbsp
  • Cashew Nuts- 1/4 Cup

Method

Step 1

Take one cup of rice,rinse them well and soak for ten minutes in fresh water,

Drained out water completely and keep aside without disturbing it,it helps to rings the rice long and grain,

Wash and chop two or three medium sized onions,and chop four to five ripen tomatoes,bring three green chilies and wash 1/4 cup of mint leaves,

Wash and well slice all veggies that you need to add with them,and also bring some fresh green peas too,

Heat a pressure cooker add enough ghee or oil with them,then add desired whole garam masala ingredients such as bay leaf,cloves,cinnamon and star anise,

Then add fine sliced onions and green chilies with them and stir well till it comes to golden brown color,

Then add one tbsp of ginger garlic paste with them and saute well till the raw smells out,

Then add well ripen and well sliced tangy tomatoes with them and stir well till gets soft and mushy,

Then add well cleaned mint leaves with them and stir well for few seconds till the flavors comes out,

Then add well washed and chopped vegetables with them and fry them for few seconds,

Then add the spice powder ingredients such as red chilly powder,turmeric powder and cumin powder and coriander powder with them,

Then add well rinsed and soaked and drained rice with them and fry for few minutes,

When the water content of the veggies and rice mixture comes to well fried,which is to be helps the rice comes to grain,

Then add water with them in the 2:1 ratio,that is two cups water for one cup of rice then add enough salt for them,

Close the lid and pressure cook for two whistles,then open the when the pressure comes down itself,

Heat a small pan add little ghee or oil with them and add some cashew nuts with them and roast for few seconds,

Pour the roasted cashew nuts and ghee mixture over the prepared tomato pulao stir well and serve hot with tasty raita.
