Veggie cheese quesadillas Recipe:
Quesadillas means a tortilla filled with cheese and heated. It is a Italian dish. It goes fantastic with cheese dip or salsa. “Cheese” the word itself melts in mouth while spelling it.. Starting from every child to old men loves it for it’s membranous texture. Once melted along with necessary ingredients it gives an immense pleasure. There are many varieties of cheese available each of which have its specific taste. Maize is like an all purpose flour nowadays. Especially for making Quesadillas like recipes in home it is highly preferable. It gives an loosy stretchable texture to the dough. And curd or yoghurt is an all rounder item in food. It gives sponginess to the item.
Oregano is mainly a culinary herb which gives excellent flavor to the dish when dried than fresh. It gives a slightly bitter taste in nature which adds a tangy different punch to the cuisine. It is a perfect anti oxidant. The nature of cheese is that it will merge the vegetables included with it. Onions and Capsicum are very common in go with cheese. The black pepper has a lot of goodness to stomach and helps in respiratory illness.
The chilly flakes gives a spicy taste as always and can enhance the food once mixed with vegetables along with salt and cheese to melt. More flakes more spiciness to the dish. This dish is entirely healthy and has nothing to keep as leavings. This entire stuff is fully appetising and attractable from its looks. It makes our tummies full from its one number. This is absolutely healthy as with veggies and cheese stuff. This takes around 30 mins for the entire dish. Quesadillas is a perfect lunch box recipe or dinner for kids with its attracting look and healthy stuff.
- Maida - 1 Cup
- Grated cheese - 2 Cup
- Baking powder - A pinch
- Ghee - 2 Tbsp
- Salt - 1/2 Tbsp
- Curd - 2 Tbsp
- Onion - 1/2 Cup
- Capsicum - 1/2 Cup
- Chilliflakes - 1/2 Tbsp
- Oregano - 1/2 Tbsp
- Black pepper - 1/2 Tbsp
- Water - 1/2 Cup
Mix maida and ghee, add pinch of baking powder, salt and curd into it. Mix it well, add water as per required. Knead the dough. Let the dough rest and then knead. Divide the dough.
Roll out the balls on the rolling surface. Half Cook it like regular rotis and make roti of every dough balls and store it in a vessel and cover it.
Take the cheese and grate it properly. Let the grated cheese be stored in a vessel till we prepare other ingredients. Grated cheese gives amazing taste and liquidity feeling to the dish.
Chop large onion and capsicum into very small pieces.
For good taste and to add spiciness to this dish, use few chilli flakes. If you don't have chilli flakes then take dry red chillies and crush it into powder. Use it instead of chilli flakes.
Quesadilla is an italian dish. Oregano is most important spices of italian dish. It has peppy taste and adds flavour to the dish.
In a mixing bowl, mix grated cheese, pieces of onion and capsicum. Add salt and black pepper as per taste. And mix well.
Add the oregano and chilli flakes. Mix the mixture well. Oregano and chilli flakes gives an italian touch to the dish and makes it tasty.
Fill One half of the roti with already prepared veg mixture. Layer it properly and fold the half of roti over it.
You can bake it in oven or in pan. I use pan, Pre heat a tawa or pan, Keep oil on one side of Quesadillas and let it fry properly on both side till cheese melt, onion and capsicum fries little.
Once it is cooked take if off from the pan. Cut into two halves by using pizza cutter. Serve it hot with ketchup.
